The Bioethics Council for Canada (BCC) is pleased to announce the release of its inaugural report, a policy brief entitled "Future proofing trust in health science in Canada".

The Bioethics Council for Canada named its inaugural Board of Directors today. The Chair of the Advisory Council was also named.

Professor Knoppers welcomed all Board members and stated that "the Board of Directors will provide direction and guidance to the Bioethics Council for Canada as it establishes itself as the organization on which Canadians can count for advice on bioethics."

Le Conseil de bioéthique du Canada a nommé aujourd'hui son premier conseil d'administration. La présidente du Conseil consultatif a également été nommé.

Le professeur Knoppers a souhaité la bienvenue à tous les membres du conseil et a déclaré que « le conseil d'administration fournira une orientation et des conseils au Conseil de bioéthique du Canada alors qu'il s'établit comme l'organisation sur laquelle les Canadiens peuvent compter pour des conseils en matière de bioéthique. »

On October 21st 2024, the Bioethics Council for Canada was officially incorporated under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act.
The founding directors were Professor Bartha Knoppers, Dr. Judy Illes and Professor Jennifer Chambers.
